Context
Stygia was once an idyllic world where the people lived simple and carefree lives, but that was before the great impact. When the comet hit, the planet was thrown violently off balance and one half of it spun away from the sun, never to be touched by its radiance again.
The world the Stygians inhabit now spins around a broken axis, doing the best it can. The people, however, are not doing so well. Those who survived the collision were left in a world where day and night ceased to exist. They were forced to migrate to the dark side of the planet, for the hemisphere closest to the sun was too hot, and one would surely perish under its intense heat.
The dark side, though more hospitable, is scarcely a fitting place to live. The people are now left scattered throughout a handful of cities, clustering together to savour warmth where they can find it. Life cannot continue for much longer without light, as morale falls, heat vanishes, vision darkens, crops die, riots break out, and minds fail.
In a desperate bid to restore sunlight to the cities, Stygia’s brightest engineers have rigged engines to massive fragments of ice resulting from the great impact, which orbit the planet. By using these fragments to reflect sunlight from the other side of the globe, it may be possible to shine rays back down onto the city and save the Stygian race.
It will be your task to use these fragments to restore hope and warmth to the masses. You must cater to each city’s needs in equal, and ensure that nobody is left behind before moving on. Restore motivation to the despondent with red light, heat to the cold with orange light, vision to the blind with yellow light, food to the hungry with green light, calm to the wrathful with blue light, and sanity to the mad with violet light.
